Doug pulled out the tree the builder planted in the front yard shortly after we moved in because it was a bradford pear, and Doug is not of fan of those weak trees. We planted this little live oak in it's place. Doug decided that it was just gonna take too long for this tree to grow to be our main front yard tree, so we took a trip to John Deere to pick out a new one.
Claire and I cheered on the digging boys from the shade of our front porch with a cup of ice chips,Claire's favorite!
It took a while to dig the hole. The boy's little plastic sand box shovels were casualties of the planting.
Claire seemed to enjoy sitting in the yard once they were finished.
What a difference!
