The March recap

I always get excited when the calendar flips to March because that means spring break is right around the corner, and warmer weather is on its way. Anyone who knows me well knows that I am not a fan of cold. We celebrated Doug's 37th birthday on March 9th. He sure is getting old!

Our spring break this year was very low key. No one came to visit us, and we didn't go anywhere either. The boys camped with Grandma and Grandpa the first weekend at Knoll Ridge park, and other than our Grapevine Mills outing with Sara and Rachel on St. Patrick's day, we pretty much just did a lot of hanging out around the house which was just fine with me.
We treated the kids to lunch at Rainforest cafe. Claire loved watching the monkeys.

Davin's 4th birthday was on Saturday, March 19th. He chose to have his party at Paradise Pond again. Last year he had about 20 friends there. This year we had a much smaller crowd because the baseball opening ceremonies were at the same time as his party, but he had a blast with the friends and family that were able to come.
The big kids even enjoyed playing with all the toys and equipment.

Daddy even enjoyed sliding over and over again with his princess.

What a Daddy's girl!
Claire loved playing with all the baby dolls.
Davin chose a pirate themed party! It turned out really cute.
fun with friends
Time for cake!
Claire got shy when everyone started singing to Davin!

The silly shot! The "group" shot. Uncle James had to sit in the picture so Claire wouldn't cry!
My big boy!
What a blessed family we are!!!!The wonderful staff packs all the gifts up for you, and you open them once you get home so that everyone gets the maximum amount of play time! It kind of keeps the fun going.
Davin loved all of his gifts!
Especially his brand new bike!
Davin at 4 years.....weight: 35.8lbs(50%); length 41 1/4 inches (75%)
Ethan at 4 years weighed 38.6lbs(75%), and was 40inches long(50%).

One of these days in all my spare time (lol!) I am going to get out old disc and upload previous pics of Ethan and Davin's younger years pre-blog!!! Perhaps I can make that a summer project!!

We also realized that we never did Ethan's 8 year well check so he and an 8 and 1/2 year well check when Davin went in for his. At 8 years 6 months Ethan weighs 57.8lbs(40%) and is 49 1/4 inches(20%) I wonder how old the boys will be when Davin surpasses Ethan in height! I am so grateful to God for my 3 beautiful babies!

February stuff

Once again I am months behind on my blog. I always seem to have the most difficulty keeping up when spring time comes. The spring months are my busiest months at work with the musical, and other various programs. Our home life gets busy with soccer games and practices, and this year Doug and I are even playing on a coed softball team together for church. I know it is all just excuses, but I will give everyone the major highlights as best as I can remember.

We had our 5th snow day this school year 2 days before Valentine's day. I personally loved the snow days because I got to just hang out and play with the kids. We made Valentine's cookies, and Claire enjoyed playing dress up.

Ethan never even bothered to put on his clothes that day.
Claire loved the pink cookies with sprinkles. It just so happened that Ethan's class Valentine party was during my conference period so I was able to sneak in for a few minutes. It is just one of the many perks of being able to have him at my school with me.
We also celebrated Grandma's 51st birthday on February 8th.

She let the boys blow out her candles for her.
Claire has a bit of a sweet tooth already.
Claire was 18 months old on February 20th.
Her 18 month stats were..... weight:22.6lbs(25%); length:32inches (60%)

I am super bummed that I could not find Ethan's 18 month well check sheet. It is the only one that I don't seem to have for some reason. I did find Davin's so here is how he measured up at 18 months.....weight:22.6lbs(10%);length 35 and 1/4 inches (100%).
