Claire-10 months

Happy father's day to our Daddy! His pretty princess a.k.a. Claire Boo is 10 months old today!! Claire is into absolutely everything!! You are trying to stand up from the floor, but you haven't figured it out just yet (thank goodness)! If anyone around has a drink it is not safe because she will come and try to take it away. Her favorite foods seem to be anything carb and ice cream. When she is old enough to understand I will teach her that these foods are detrimental to our thighs, hips, and waist :)

She is so funny! She loves her brothers, music, and toys. She tells everyone hi and bye, and loves to wave. She asks for her "baba," and she gets super excited if we ask her if she wants her "baba" when she is fussy. She points at the dog and tells him to "ha" (hush) when he is barking! She also loves the water, but hates clothes. Diapering this girl, or combing her hair takes mad skills these days.

She is very much attached to her paci, but she also loves to throw them. If we can not locate a paci it is not a good time for anyone!
I can't believe we are only 2 months away from your first birthday, sweet girl......sigh!!

Sweet summer time

Summer time is here at last!!!!! Yay!!!! I love getting to spend some quality time doing fun things with my kiddos. I have kept our schedules this summer very low key. I think we all need a little breather.

We got out of school on a Thursday, and the next day the boys headed to Oklahoma in Grandma and Grandpa's new camper for a little 2 night camping trip to test the camper out. they've never had a camper before. Doug, Claire, and I met everyone on Saturday. We wanted to see how Claire would do with 1 night before we tried anything else. There was a pool and a pond at the RV sight. We all went swimming, and the boys went and fished. Ethan caught 2 fish and Davin caught 1. The boys also enjoyed grilling steaks and making smores with their Grandpa after dark. I discovered I much prefer "camping" with a shower, toilet, kitchen, AC, and satellite TV. Not to mention my "own room."

Sunday morning we feed the birds bread while Grandpa and Grandma were getting the camper ready to go.
Ethan was scared of them!
Claire thought they were funny!

Davin was also a little scared.

the falls

Monday morning, Claire woke up running a fever. I took her to the doc because she had been congested for a few days, and my suspicions that she had an ear infection were correct. The doc put her on antibiotics, and I thought we would be good in no time. Not the case!! She refused to be put down, she didn't want to do anything but sleep (but she had to be held), and she refused to eat solids. On Wednesday we went back to the doc with a fever of 104.1. Turns out she had developed a sinus infection the required stronger antibiotics. the strong stuff has worked, but it sure has been hard on her little behind. Poor sweet girl.

Doug's brother and his family from El Paso arrived at 4 a.m. on Thursday morning. Somehow they still had the energy to go to Grapevine Mills that day. We also celebrated Tiffany's 17th birthday at Babe's that evening followed by cake and ice cream at the house. Everyone except Claire and I went to Six Flags on Friday! Daddy hung out at the house on Saturday with Davin and Claire while everyone else went to Hurricane Harbor, and Cindy and I went to Wicked, which was absolutely amazing!!!

We all had father's day breakfast together at Poppy's Place before their long drive back home. We all had a great time! I am glad they were able to come visit!

End of the school year and other random stuff

It felt like the last day of school was a myth this year, but when it finally did arrive I couldn't have been happier!! I am lucky that I am able to drop in on things like class parties and award ceremonies since Ethan is able to come to school with me. Here is his class pic from the last day of school.
Here he is with his teacher, Mrs. Banister. She gave him the award for "Most Outgoing Student."

Here he is with his honor roll award.

The Specials Awards. He received the library award. Most of his checking out occurred after school.

Rewind to Memorial Day weekend........

We spent Memorial Day weekend putting up what we call out "WT" pool, but our kiddos love this pool as do I. Here are a few random pic of our first dip of the summer.

Totally random......

Freddie the frog lives under our house. Davin loves this frog, and cried when he couldn't bring him in the house to sleep in his room. Sometimes we go for long periods without a Freddie sighting, but much to my surprise he eventually reappears.

catching up- 9 months

At 9 months you were crawling like a champ! You also immediately began pulling yourself up on the furniture, opening cabinets, and a gate became a necessity for the stairs. You enjoy eating in your high chair, but you refuse to eat baby food.

Dr. Dhoot said everything looked great at your 9 month check up. Here are your stats....
Weight: 18lbs even (40%) Length: 28 3/4 inches (75%)

How did your brothers compare?
Ethan- Weight: 19lbs 12oz (45%) Length: 28 in. (50%)
Davin- Weight: 19lbs (30%) Length: 29 in. (75%)

You are a silly girl. You try to crawl up to the camera and eat it every time I try to take your picture. You also clap when everyone else claps at the ball games, and it is so cute! You "dance" whenever I sing to you, or whenever you hear music.

You almost got the camera in this one :)

Catching up-8 months

Here is my sweet Claire Boo at 8 months. She loves the water just like her brothers. She cut 4 teeth all at once right at 8 months. She was also combat crawling like a champ. She said "dada" first so that made her Daddy happy. Nights are still not always consistent, but they are getting better! What a beautiful baby girl!

Spring Sports

What happened to the good and faithful blogger that I once was? Spring sports! We had soccer and baseball going on for Ethan, and blastball for Davin. Doug is the assistant coach of Ethan's soccer team, the Sharks. I am head coach of Davin's blastball team, the Braves. Let's just say that life was very hectic for the months of April and May, and the first 2 weeks of June.

Below is a bunch of mixed shots taken at various games of various sports. Some of them are of team parties, or of us just hanging out at the field with friends! There is no rhyme or reason to the order so enjoy!

too much fun!
