Chrismas snow

The kids really couldn't play in the snow on Christmas day since the were still running fever, but they woke up fever free the day after so I let them out for about 15 minutes. Claire loved it this time!

Our driveway remained a solid sheet of ice for several days since it is north facing
It was very good packing snow......
We don't see many white Christmas's in DFW! How cool!

Christmas!

fun making picture frames at Home Depot

The kiddos with our tree on it's final Christmas! Time for a new one.

Their stockings were hung on the banister with care....

 Mommy's Christmas Eve crash! Boo!!

Making Christmas cookies with Claire the chef. All of us really struggled with illness the entire month. The boys started running high fevers a couple days before Christmas Eve and continued for 4 days. Ethan felt too bad to help out with Christmas cookies.

 My little artist!!!

Christmas morning present time! Claire loved her Hello Kitty Mic, and accessories for her doll house from Santa.

Santa brought Davin a Leap Pad!

Claire loved her doll house from Santa, and Davin opened an accessory pack for his Leap Pad!

Ethan was so excited that Santa actually brought him drums!

The hunting game for the Wii and Davin got his Bat Cave!

It was actually a white Christmas! It started snowing about 1:00ish right as we arrived at Grandma and Grandpa's house for Christmas lunch. We had to go home a little sooner than we normally would have because the roads got pretty icy once it started to get dark. Even though we were a little under the weather it was a Merry Christmas!

Sing a little song...

December is a very busy month for any music teacher/musician! Carmen captured this pic of the Denton Bach Society's dress rehearsal of all 6 consecutive cantatas the comprise the complete "Christmas Oratorio" It was a blessing to be a part of this ambitious yet highly successful musical undertaking!

my rehearsal view

Sweet Heidi and I right before show time!

I went to Claire's dress rehearsal at her school because Ethan's piano recital was the same night.

 Claire, Daddy, and her grandparents.

Ethan's piano recital!
Here is Ashlea and I at the Friday night dress rehearsal about 11:30p.m. (rehearsal started at 6:00) preparing to rehearse our duet "The First Noel/Mary Mary" for A TCOC Christmas. This looks like one of those photos that should have a caption this..... I know that Ashlea and I both had much revealed to us through this experience! Saturday night went relatively well, but I woke up Sunday morning running an almost 103 degree fever! Talk about stink, but I made it through both shows......barely!
My little brother graduated from UNT this month!

I am so honored to have been nominated for Teacher of the Year again this year! Although I am beginning to feel like I'm always the bridesmaid and never the bride. Maybe the third time will be the charm? Lol! It is a privilege and an honor to be on the ballot, especially with the likes of Michelle Vaughn!
A cold front blew in and I mean it BLEW in. As in it took out our fence and our trampoline. RIP.....

Davin and Daddy made this sleigh for the kindergarten parade. Unfortunately, Daddy had a little building mishap that required stitches!

The GRE Choir had a very successful Winter Concert this year! The teachers even performed a number which was a lot of fun! Perhaps we should make the teacher number and audience sing-a-long new traditions! My sweet students gave me these roses after the concert. I really do have one of the coolest jobs out there!

back in November

In November, Grandma and Grandpa took the kiddos camping at Ft. Richardson State Park again. There was even an Indian pow wow, but they stopped early because it was too cold!

Ethan was able to go to Chicago with my Dad and Aunt Whitney for his Great Grandmother's 92nd birthday. I think I can see some resemblance.

Sara and I at Opera on tap at the Abbey Underground. The night of the martini's!

Lauren, Sarah, and I on the great "ticket and tow" outing! That was a pricey evening!

Davin as an Indian for the Kindergarten Thanksgiving program

 The carousel at Bass Pro.

We had Papa Don and Grandma Tonya here for Thanksgiving, but no body got picture happy. We didn't even take any pics Thanksgiving day when the whole family was here, but a good time was had by all!
