back in October......

 Doug and I went to Shreveport on Columbus Day weekend to celebrate Whitney's 30th birthday, and our 10th anniversary. We had a lot of fun at Sam's Town Casino, and even learned how to play craps!

 October also brought about festivities such as carving jack-o-lanterns!

 Claire didn't care much for the pumpkin innards, but the boys didn't mind!

 We trick or treated in the old hood with our good pals, the Sterns! A great time was had by all. It sure was fun to see Claire really get it this year. Halloween is one of my favorites!

back in September....

 Here is Claire Bear on her first day of CCDC in the 3 year old's class! She has Mrs. Mathis and loves going to school!

 I recently became a member of the Denton Bach Society Choir which I love, but that leaves Doug a single Dad on Monday evenings. I am so thankful he is willing to make that sacrifice so I can go and do something that I love so much! He sent me these super cute pics while I was at rehearsals.

 Ethan chose a camping party for his 10th birthday this year. The plan was for the boys to sleep in the tent with Dad, and for mom to stay in the camper with Grandma and Grandpa. Unfortunately it rained ALL DAY and all night, and it was pretty chilly. We played out at the campsite for a little while, but threw in the towel in the end. We packed up and went back to the house. Ethan was disappointed, but everyone ended up having a good time in the end.

Here is our sweet little Ethan Douglas right after we brought him home from the hospital. He was only 6lbs 10oz and 18 inches long. It is hard to believe it has already been 10 years!

Labor Day Weekend

Claire was very excited that Labor Day weekend was almost here. She was taking off with Grandma and Grandpa to Lake Ray Roberts sans  her brothers for a little while after her meet the teacher meeting. She wanted to look nice for meet the teacher! She dressed herself in this. Grandma was able to get her to put on something different later on that morning.

 As soon as school was out, the boys and I rushed to the

 Denton Natatorium to celebrate Sarah's 5th birthday!

 

 

 After leaving Sarah's super fun party, I took the boys to the Sonic in Sanger to hand them off to Grandma and Grandpa as well. Doug and I would join them at the lake on Sunday after church.

 

 

  "Claire and Davin have logged several hours and a few nautical miles as my Sea Eagle crew this weekend" said Grandpa at Isle Du Bois State Park.
  
 Saturday, Doug and I got house work done. I also had a voice lesson, and we had dinner at Hannah's on the square. Doug also endured a "Twilight" saga movie marathon with me. I completed the series this weekend. I won't tell him how it ended. He will just have to wait until "Breaking Dawn Part 2" is released. Cruel, I know!

 Davin asked me about the Indians several times!

I am so glad that Grandma and Grandpa are so willing to share the camper with us. Doug and the boys are going to brave some tent camping in the near future. It was such a fun weekend! It sure was tough when the alarm went off this morning!

First Day K and 4th!

 

The boys and I had an awesome first day of school today!

 I have a feeling that this is going to be a great year!

I have always had my picture with Ethan outside of my classroom every first day! This year Davin joined us!

 It was a pain in the rear packing up all this stuff and moving it all back in, but today proved that it was so worth it! I love have the ceiling mounted projector. I can have my do camera off to the side of my smartboard, and I don't have to move the cart a million times a day. I also loved my mic that runs to my classroom speaker <3 p="p">

 I am going to have to get used to the noise with the tile, 

but at least I don't have vomit stained carpet anymore!

 

 This evening we celebrated my 33rd birthday!

We were all pretty tired, but overall it was an awesome day!

 I am just grateful that I am still physically able to teach!
