of the year!!!!! That's right. We are about a month into summer, and what a summer it has been. We sold our house on Del Rey circle after only 4 years of ownership, and are in the process of building a new home that is scheduled to be completed in late September. It is a 1.5 story, meaning only the game room and a half bath are upstairs, and everything is on the ground floor. Woo Hoo! It is also on a third acre lot instead of the 0 lot line home we just left, and Doug will finally have a nice covered patio with an outdoor kitchen area. In the mean time, we are living in a 2 bedroom apartment with a short term lease, and the majority of everything we own is in storage. Apartment life has taken a bit of getting used to, but we are making the best of it. Having to take the dog out on a leash every time he has to use the restroom really sucks, especially when you slip down the slope in the wet morning grass and break your ass in the process!
The bright side of apartment life is the kids are really enjoying the pool!
The boys also had an awesome time at church camp in June!
A "cold" front blew in on July 1st giving us a first week of July forecast of high temperatures only in the 80's. The kiddos and I were able to play at the park in the middle of the afternoon 2 days in a row without suffering from a heat stroke!
We celebrated Grandpa's 56th birthday on July 2nd even though his cake says differently ;)
Doug and I have our hands full with our kiddos! Our oldest son, Ethan,is 10 and will be a 5th grader this fall. Our 6 year old son, Davin, keeps us on our toes with all of his dare devil stunts. Our little princess, Claire Bethany, is 3. We also have a rat terrier named Diesel. I teach elementary music/choir, and I love my job! Doug works as an irrigation manager for Valleycrest Landscape. Our children and our jobs keep us very busy, but we have been and continue to be very blessed on this adventure we he have co-created!
